Profil

Neben der Lehre erforscht Stefan Heng die wirtschaftlichen Aspekte der digitalen Transformation; aktuell speziell die Themen Industrie 4.0, Augmented Reality und Sharing Economy. Seine Forschungsergebnisse hat er mittlerweile in über 200 Publikationen dargelegt und in Expertenkreisen diskutiert. Daneben ist er wissenschaftlicher Beirat beim „Großen Preis des Mittelstandes“ der Oskar-Patzelt-Stiftung.“

Vor seiner Tätigkeit an der DHBW war Stefan Heng für einen internationalen Finanzdienstleister tätig. Zuletzt verantwortete er im Think Tank der Konzernzentrale den Bereich 'Digitale Transformation der Wirtschaft'. Seine akademische Laufbahn startete er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter eines international besetzten DFG-Schwerpunktprogramms und als Koordinator eines interdisziplinären Vertiefungsfaches. Stefan Heng promovierte mit einer ökonometrischen Untersuchung zur Verkehrsinfrastruktur.
